The Bold and Beautiful

There is nothing like a crisp sunny morning swim to get the day started. I went for a quick one Sunday morning in the warm water of Manly. At 7am there you will find a multitude of people all wearing bright pink caps, preparing themselves to dive head first into crystal clear water for a 1.5km swim. What started as an informal activity between a group of friends, has now turned into hundreds of people every day.

The group, know as the ‘Bold & Beautiful‘ leave from Manly Beach and swim over to Shelly Beach. The wonderful thing about this group is the camaraderie that they share. They wait at Shelly Beach until the last swimmer has arrived before embarking on the return trip.

So I’m thinking I should get a pink swimming cap on and join in… Will I see you there?
